Varaha Counter-UAV System
Acoustic drone detection,
localisation & neutralisation
Varaha is a passive, acoustic-first counter-UAV system. It detects, tracks, and neutralises small unmanned aerial vehicles in real time — without emitting a single radio frequency, radar pulse, or laser.
Continuous azimuth coverage
Acoustic channels per node
Fixed-wing detection range
Detection latency
A system that listens
The system listens. Detection is continuous, 360°, and equally effective day and night. Every engagement is gated behind a mandatory thermal camera confirmation, ensuring no effector ever fires without a confirmed heat-signature lock on the target.
Built for perimeter defence, critical infrastructure protection, forward operating bases, and high-value asset protection — wherever low observability and autonomous threat response are essential.
Features & technologies
Passive detection
No RF or radar emissions. The system is undetectable to the threat.
360° continuous coverage
No scan cycle, no blind sectors, no warm-up time.
Mandatory thermal gate
No effector fires without a confirmed thermal lock. Eliminates accidental engagement.
Autonomous closed-loop engagement
Detects, localises, routes, verifies, and engages without requiring an operator in the loop — with full operator visibility and override at every stage.
Dual-effector architecture
Fixed RCWS for close-range threats; interceptor drone for beyond-range targets. Routing is automatic.
Lead targeting
The interceptor drone is dispatched to the calculated intercept point ahead of the target, not its current position.
Multi-target tracking
Multiple threats tracked simultaneously and independently. Closest target always served first.
Real-time command dashboard
Live map, radar view, sensor diagnostics, historical alerts, and camera feeds from any browser on the network.
Fleet-scalable
Additional sensor units join the network with a single configuration entry. No software changes required.
Edge compute
All signal processing runs on the field unit itself. Only compact detection messages cross the network to the command centre.
System variants
Four deployment configurations — from permanent infrastructure protection to individual soldier awareness.
Permanent 7-node array on a static structure. Suited to critical infrastructure, forward operating base perimeters, and VIP protection sites.
